I don't think any number of men could have lifted that long top beam on!Kev Alvitihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04992625860900617194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5081662385488791554.post-87227969009238336772014-04-03T14:39:07.137-07:002014-04-03T14:39:07.137-07:00Cheers! If it was mine I think I would have ketp them all as 6x2s so it's that bit stronger.Kev Alvitihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04992625860900617194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5081662385488791554.post-35633828427458161482014-03-31T12:05:42.882-07:002014-03-31T12:05:42.882-07:00Nice work kev I hope you had a forklift or was it ...Nice work kev I hope you had a forklift or was it a humph as we call it up here ;)Brianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13307538108627287225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5081662385488791554.post-81208407700668052532014-03-30T20:38:39.362-07:002014-03-30T20:38:39.362-07:00Good job!Good job!Gorges Smythehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08777621500611603786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5081662385488791554.post-2817734508726220202014-03-30T17:43:44.767-07:002014-03-30T17:43:44.767-07:00Now that is some real wood, like what is in the ol...Now that is some real wood, like what is in the old barns here.Sunnybrook Farmhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18135224259672444423noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5081662385488791554.post-7555397093368593312014-03-30T15:27:21.722-07:002014-03-30T15:27:21.722-07:00How come you did not make the top of the timber on...How come you did not make the top of the timber on the double garage door match the top of the stick framed wall like the single door? I'd have thought you'd want to make it flush with the top plate so you could then tie it all in together with a double 2x4 plate and have a single level all around. Other than the timber frame the rest for he stick built structure is identical to our typical construction except we would not use 2x4s wed use 2x6.Mike Silviushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10406468736304441962noreply@blogger.com
