A phone call a few weeks ago from one of my regular customers "I've got a hour or so work for you if you're in town in the next week or so... Just cut a hole in a worktop".
Not quite! It was to fit a whole kitchenette. It doesn't look much but there's a lot of work involved. Fixing the units, scribing the side panels, cutting the plinth, cutting the worktop, door handles, etc! I really wish I'd brought my lunch to this job!
Isn't that the way it always is... customers always think it is as easy and quick as they show in the home flippers shows on TV. Four days later they have a cow when you hand them the bill.
ReplyDeleteTell me about It! That said this customer is a star, never argues with the bill and just wants things done right. I've not been able to give him much time this year but he's a great customer who I enjoy working for. With this kitchenette I said it was going to take longer and he just smiled and shrugged his shoulders. Hrs an ex tradesman though so I think that help!
