Carpet hides all sins LOL.... I suppose if it had been paint or clear finish you'd have to have used bendy plywood or something like it to make the curved riser.
Yeah completely but as it was carpet I could laminate some pine together then electric plane it to the curve. It wasn't worth buying a sheet just for the one step that would be covered anyway, you have to go with what the customer wants!
